Janelle Stone serves as the Secretary and is a founding board member of The Dreamhaus Project, Inc. Her dedication and leadership have been integral to the organization’s mission of empowering survivors of family violence, with a focus on emotional, financial, and mental abuse. Previously, she played a pivotal role as Vice President during the early stages of the organization's development, helping to lay a strong foundation for its future success.
With over twenty years of experience in service and management, Janelle brings a wealth of knowledge in managing and organizing events, assisting volunteers, and building procedures. Her extensive background in community service, including event management, volunteer coordination, and procedural development, has equipped her with the skills and passion needed to make a significant impact.
Janelle’s dedication to The Dreamhaus Project is driven by her belief that "It takes a village." This mentality inspired her to join the organization, realizing her destiny to do more and positively impact the lives of others. She is deeply committed to the mission of The Dreamhaus Project, which supports families of all styles, amplifies the voices of minority families, and fortifies bridges between communities. Janelle is inspired by seeing individuals overcome difficult situations with their heads held high and hearts strong, and she is committed to utilizing her personal and professional experiences to make a positive impact on her community.
In her role as Secretary, Janelle is responsible for maintaining accurate records, overseeing board communications, and ensuring that the organization’s policies and procedures are upheld. Her goal on the board is to further the conversation on family violence and help people navigate through traumatic events. Her commitment to the mission of The Dreamhaus Project is unwavering, and she looks forward to continuing to make a difference in the lives of those she serves.
